Electability Increases, Jokowi: I Still Focus on My Works

Asked by reporters about his electability after inspecting housing for fishermen in Pangandaran Regency, West Java on Tuesday (24/4), President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo said that he still focuses on his works.

“I still focus on my works. It’s still a long way to go. When the time comes, I will make a decision together with all supporting parties and volunteers,” President Jokowi said.

When reporters asked him whether it is difficult to find a candidate for Vice President position, the President simply replied, “Easy”.

As we are all aware, based on a survey released by Kompas Research and Development on Monday (23/4), the number of respondents voting for President Jokowi when the presidential election is held today reaches 55.9 percent. The percentage increases compared to six months ago, which was only 46.3 percent.

In the meantime, President Jokowi mentioned that he does not know yet about the verdict for Setyo Novanto.

Also accompanying the President on the inspection were Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Susi Pudjiastuti, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan, and Regent of Pangandaran Jeje Wiradinata. (FID/OJI/EN) (GWH/MMB/Naster)
