Bismillahirrahmanirrahim,

Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,

Good Afternoon,

May prosperity be upon us all

Honorable ministers,

In this afternoon’s Limited Meeting, we will discuss the follow-up of several meetings that we participated, particularly, the Belt and Road Forum which was held in Beijing.
After participating in that forum, we noticed that there are many opportunities opened for cooperation with other countries. Not to mention that last week, Standard & Poor’s has granted an investment grade status to Indonesia that increases the trust in Indonesia, particularly, on foreign investment. Therefore, we should maintain this trust.

Secondly, I want to assert that this kind of opportunity may not come twice, or even thrice. Thus, our readiness to serve, our rapidity to serve investments should be integrated and followed up in a detailed manner. Do not break the trust of the investors who are about to invest just because of our poor performance during the last stage of the process, particularly, in sectors related to permit services and legal certainty. We should monitor, improve, and fix it continuously whether we like it or not.

And, I think we are on the right track, but this kind of work takes indeed a fast response. I notice that there are many small issues that make the investors disappointed due to, for example, MoU between the Governments which are still not well-executed for years.

Not to mention the problems regarding permits that considered as small and nonfundamental issues, but may disappoint the investors just because it is not well-monitored and followed up. Therefore, on this auspicious occasion, I, once again, ask all to manage the issues relating investment in a detailed manner.

I think that is all I can say in this remarks. (PR, Cabinet Secretariat)(RAS/AW/YM/Naster)
