This afternoon’s Limited Meeting will discuss mineral and coal business activities.

I would like to remind you all that mineral and coal are our non-renewable natural resources. At the moment, Indonesia is at the 10th place in the ranking of the world’s coal reserves. However, we have to remember that one day we will run out of it. The coal is predicted to be run out in the next 83 years. Therefore, I would like to emphasize that exploitation of natural resources, either mineral or coal must be carefully calculated.

The principle is natural resources must be used for the greatest prosperity of the Indonesian people. So, the management must always pay attention to benefits, sustainability, as well as environment. One thing that is more important is these resources must be used to support our national interests.

This is my introductory remarks for today’s Meeting. (Humas Setkab) (MMB/YM/Naster)
