President Jokowi: According to the Act, DPR Select 5 of 10 Name of KPK Leader Candidates that Proposed

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to comment on the discussion process of the selection results of candidates for the leadership of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) which is now being discussed by Commission III of the House of Representatives (DPR).

According to President Jokowi, the task of the government in the election of members of the Commission is to establish a selection committee (pansel), and this has been done. Pansel was already choosing 8 (eight) KPK leaders candidates, whose names have been submitted by the government to the House of Representatives.

About the tendency of the House of Representatives stalling in KPK leadership election, President Jokowi asked reporters not to ask him. “Do not ask me, ask to the DPR,” he said.

The president just said the selection committee has chosen, then we have submitted to the DPR. He heard that indeed the commission III would already be decided.

“According to the Act indeed DPR selects 5 of the 10 names submitted,” the President said.

Profiteering the Name

Meanwhile, related to the discussion of the case of profiteering name, which involves one of the leaders the House of Representatives, President Jokowi said that he fully supported the process in the Court of Honor Council (MKD).

“I fully support the process in MKD and I have to say back and forth, I respect the process that is in MKD and do not let anyone intervene,” said President of the JCC after speaking in KOMPAS 100 CEO Forum, held at JCC Jakarta, Thursday (26/11). (TKP/ES)/Sy.
