After completing the first batch of meeting with regents from several regions across Indonesia, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo resumed the meeting to the second batch at Bogor Presidential Palace, West Java, Thursday (5/7).

For the record, the meeting was convened in several batches to limit the participants so that the regents can freely convey problems they face in their respective regions to the President.

President Jokowi explained that the big challenges and problems with the current global economy are economic and political uncertainties, which affect Indonesia’s economic growth targets.

The President added that the regents must also feel that global economic uncertainty these days is hard to predict.

“Despite all the challenges, we should be grateful that Indonesia’s economy still grows by more than 5%,” said President Jokowi.

Also present during the meeting was Minister of State Secretary Pratikno. (FID/ES) (STU/EP/Naster)
