In regards to State Civil Apparatus (ASN) management, President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo said that he suggested to apply e-government because we are now living in information technology era that requires us to move quickly.

“Indonesia should catch up with other countries in terms of public and administrative services. With information technology, we shall be able to work rapidly,” the President said when delivering his remarks at a Limited Meeting on State Civil Apparatus Reform, at the Presidential Office, Jakarta, Tuesday (20/6) afternoon.

The President, who was accompanied by Vice President Jusuf Kalla, hopes that the ASN do not spend a lot of time to make SPJ (letter of responsibility) and to check piles of letters as well as documents.

“I think it will be more simple if it uses a good information technology system,” the President said.

The Limited Meeting was attended by Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Wiranto, Coordinating Minister for the Economy Darmin Nasution, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Puan Maharani, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut B.
