(Foto: Kementerian ESDM)<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Menteri Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral (ESDM) Ignasius Jonan meminta para pemangku kepentingan industri gas untuk bersinergi mendorong industri gas nasional agar menjadi lebih kompetitif.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hal tersebut disampaikan Jonan saat membuka Konferensi dan Pameran International Gas Indonesia (IndoGAS) 2019 ke-9 di Plenary Hall Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Selasa (19\/2).<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Jonan menyebut bisnis gas saat ini sedang dalam situasi harus membuat keputusan. &#8220;Ini waktunya untuk membuat pilihan dan keputusan, karena di pasar global mulai masuk energi baru dan terbarukan (EBT),&#8221; kata Jonan.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ia menekankan perlunya kontribusi signifikan dari industri gas dalam mengimbangi cepatnya laju pengembangan energi baru terbarukan (EBT) di pasar global.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Menurut Jonan saat ini ia lihat di banyak negara maju porsi pemanfaatan dan pengembangan EBT berjalan dengan sangat cepat.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;Jika dilihat di banyak negara, khususnya negara maju, pengembangan EBT didorong sangat cepat. Tiga bulan lalu saat berkunjung ke Italia saya melihat pembangkit yang 100% menggunakan CPO (<i>crude palm oil<\/i>), tanpa proses lain,&#8221; ungkap Jonan.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hal itu menurut Jonan merupakan sebuah tantangan besar bagi industri gas. Nantinya, bukan tidak mungkin CPO atau sumber EBT lainnya dapat menggantikan energi fosil sebagai bahan bakar.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;Bukan tidak mungkin nantinya CPO atau EBT lainnya bisa dikonversi ke bahan bakar diesel atau gasoil, ini akan jadi tantangan besar industri gas,&#8221; ucap Jonan.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sehingga menurut Jonan tantangan terberat bagi industri gas saat ini adalah untuk mendorong iklim bisnis gas menjadi lebih kompetitif.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;Saran saya bagi pelaku bisnis gas di Indonesia adalah agar jadi lebih kompetitif. Era biaya operasional yang tinggi saya pikir harus segera dihentikan,&#8221; tegas Jonan.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Produsen gas alam harus mulai memikirkan secara serius bagaimana cara bertahan di situasi saat ini dan kedepannya. Menurut Jonan salah satu cara yang dapat dipertimbangkan adalah dengan masuk ke industri Petrokimia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"center\">&#8220;Industri petrokimia yang berasal dari bahan bakar fosil memang tidak mudah untuk digantikan. Tapi, jika kita dapat berkompetisi dan tetap mendorong penggunaan gas untuk bahan bakar, listrik, dan transportasi, mungkin situasinya bisa dilewati dengan baik,&#8221; pungkas Jonan.
