Presiden RI Joko Widodo (Jokowi) menerima kunjungan Chairman dan CEO Air Products, Seifi Ghasemi, di Hotel Ritz Carlton, Washington DC, Kamis (12\/05\/2022). Dalam sambutannya, Presiden menekankan pentingnya implementasi rencana investasi perusahaan asal Amerika Serikat tersebut.<\/p>\n

\u201cSaya menyambut baik penandatanganan MoU di Dubai, November 2021 yang lalu. Sebagai implementasi rencana tersebut pada 24 Januari lalu, saya telah lakukan groundbreaking<\/em> industri hilirisasi coal to DME<\/em> di Bukit Asam. Saya berharap semua rencana investasi tersebut dapat segera ditindaklanjuti,\u201d ucap Presiden Jokowi.<\/p>\n

Sementara itu, Menteri Investasi\/Kepala Badan Koordinasi Penanaman Modal (BKPM) Bahlil Lahadalia saat ditemui usai pertemuan mengatakan, dari rencana investasi Air Products sebesar 15 miliar Dolar AS, untuk saat ini sudah terealisasi tahap pertama sebesar 7 miliar Dolar AS.<\/p>\n

\u201cAdalah proyek DME, metanol di Balongan, dan mau membangun juga metanol di Cepu, sisanya kita akan bikin hidrogen yang akan dibangun di Indonesia dengan memanfaatkan bendungan-bendungan yang dimiliki negara,\u201d ucap Bahlil.<\/p>\n

Bahlil juga menyampaikan, dari hasil diskusi Presiden dengan CEO Air Products, terdapat juga rencana akan membangun industri dari hulu ke hilir di bidang petrokimia.<\/p>\n

\u201cSekarang tugasnya adalah pemerintah Indonesia harus segera mengeksekusi. Karena uangnya sudah ada, proyeknya sudah ada. Saya pikir pertemuan hari ini dengan Bapak Presiden dengan Pak Seifi ini menunjukkan bahwa investasi di Indonesia tidak hanya dikuasai suatu negara tertentu tapi sudah merata,\u201d ujar Bahlil.<\/p>\n
