Setelah menyerahkan Bantuan Langsung Tunai (BLT) Bahan Bakar Minyak (BBM) dan BLT kepada peserta Program Keluarga Harapan di Kantor Pos Cabang Sentani Kabupaten Jayapura, Rabu (31\/08\/2022), Presiden RI Joko Widodo (Jokowi) dan Ibu Iriana Jokowi bersama rombongan menuju Pasar Kampung Doyo Baru, Kabupaten Jayapura.<\/p>\n

Namun saat akan memasuki mobil, Presiden melihat sekelompok masyarakat yang tengah berdemo tepat di sebelah kantor pos.<\/p>\n

\u201cAda apa ini?\u201d tanya Presiden.<\/p>\n

\u201cDemo karena ada penutupan sekolah,\u201d jawab Sekretaris Pribadi Presiden Anggit Noegroho.<\/p>\n

\u201cDipanggil saja perwakilan,\u201d perintah Presiden.<\/p>\n

Anggit pun mendatangi tempat berdemo dan meminta tiga orang perwakilan untuk bertemu Presiden.<\/p>\n

\u201cGimana\u2026 gimana<\/em>,\u201d kata Presiden kepada tiga orang ibu yang menjadi perwakilan.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnak-anak kami tidak bisa sekolah Pak, karena sekolahnya dipalang karena tanah ulayat,\u201d ucap salah seorang perwakilan.<\/p>\n

Presiden pun menanyakan nama sekolahnya.<\/p>\n

\u201cSMP Negeri 1 Sentani,\u201d ucap salah seorang ibu.<\/p>\n

Presiden pun sempat berbincang dengan ketiga perwakilan masyarakat tersebut untuk mencari solusi penyelesaian karena yang terpenting bagi Presiden adalah anak-anak jangan sampai tidak bersekolah.<\/p>\n

Sementara itu, sesaat sebelum meninggalkan Jayapura untuk melanjutkan penerbangan ke Timika pada siang harinya, Menteri Investasi\/Kepala Badan Koordinasi Penanaman Modal (BKPM) Bahlil Lahadalia menyampaikan bahwa persoalan penutupan sekolah tersebut telah terselesaikan.<\/p>\n

\u201cSesuai arahan Bapak Presiden tadi, saya turut membantu menyelesaikan masalah penutupan sekolah tersebut. Jadi kita akan menyewa lahan tersebut hingga 2023,\u201d ucap Bahlil.<\/p>\n

Bahlil menjelaskan bahwa minggu depan diharapkan anak-anak sudah dapat bersekolah di SMP Negeri 1 Sentani.<\/p>\n
