President Jokowi accompanied by Vice President JK while presiding over a Limited Meeting at the Presidential Office, Jakarta, Wednesday (5\/10) afternoon.<\/p><\/div>\n

President Joko \u0091Jokowi\u0092 Widodo requested that the effectiveness of expenditure in the health sector be maintained so that access and quality of health services could improve. This was delivered during a Limited Meeting on the Effectiveness of Education and Health Expenditure on the State Budget (APBN), at the Presidential Office, Jakarta, Wednesday (5\/10) afternoon.<\/p>\n

“With regard to the distribution of Healthy Indonesia Card (KIS), I already checked it on the ground, it is already nearly above 95% right on target because every time I go to Grade 3 room in the hospital, I found almost all of the patients would have hold the card,” the President said.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, President Jokowi asked that attention to the matters relating to the quality of health care both primary and referral health care is paid, especially in remote areas, border areas, and archipelagic areas as well.<\/p>\n

“I also ask that the paradigm of health programs is not only oriented to curative aspect or cure the sick, but to develop a healthy lifestyle and educate our society as well,” the President said.<\/p>\n

According to the President, the most important thing to bear in mind when it comes to health is to overhaul, repair financing strategies and budget strategy so that the people can reap the benefits directly.<\/p>\n

The limited meeting was attended by Vice President Jusuf Kalla, Coordinating Minister for the Economy Darmin Nasution, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut B. Pandjaitan, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Presidential Chief of Staff Teten Masduki, Minister of Education Muhadjir Effendi, Minister of Religious Affairs Lukman Hakim Saifuddin, Minister of Health Nila F. Moeloek, Minister of Social Affairs Khofifah Indar Parawansa, Minister of National Development Planning\/Head of National Development Planning Agency Bambang Brodjonegoro, as well as Minister for the Empowerment of State Apparatus and Bureaucratic Reform Asman Abnur.
