The Ephorus <\/em>(head of congregation) of Batak Protestant Church (HKBP) appreciated President Joko \u0091Jokowi\u0092 Widodo who tries so hard to create a conducive climate for this country so it can carry out its development for a better future. In addition, the President also nurtures all people of Indonesia despite their ethnicities and religions.<\/p>\n

\u0093We have extended our appreciation over the leadership of the President and we are so grateful for the efforts to create a conducive climate so this country canmove forward to a better future,\u0094 the Ephorus<\/em> of HKBP Darwin Lumban Tobing said, after received by President Jokowi, at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, on Monday (27\/3) morning.<\/p>\n

On the meeting with the President, Darwin added, he delivered several things. First, appreciation to the role of the President in nurturing all people of Indonesia despite their ethnicities and religions; second, education and empowerment programs of HKBP in 2017. \u0093We told the President that HKBP has an agenda to develop education sector and human resources empowerment so these sectors will have a better quality and be more advanced,\u0094 Darwin said.<\/p>\n

Darwin admitted that HKBP cannot work alone. Therefore, he asked the President to give material supports as well as encouraging words so HKBP is able to materialize their goals.<\/p>\n

\u0093HKBP will always communicate with central government so the assisstance can be concretely realized,\u0094 Darwin said.<\/p>\n

The President expected, Darwin added, HKBP to actively take part in the efforts to make this country more advanced.<\/p>\n

On that occasion, Darwin also invited President Jokowi to attend Easter Celebration in Tarutung on next April.\u0093We invited the President to visit the office of HKBP. This visit will portray our support to the Government as well as the Government\u0092s attention to the church and the people,\u0094 Darwin said. HKBP hopes the church and the President would have a good communication and relations in various things, including in the efforts to develop the country.<\/p>\n
