Schneider-Ammann, met President Joko \u0091Jokowi\u0092 Widodo, at the Bogor Palace, West Java, Friday (14\/7) morning. They discussed a number of issues, among others, an offer from the Swiss delegation to enhance bilateral cooperation as well as cooperation on vocational education, polytechnic, etc.<\/p>\n<p>\u0093Bilateral cooperation of the two countries has increased by almost 283 percent over the last three years,\u0094 Cabinet Secretary, Pramono Anung, said. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>According to him, on that occasion, the Swiss delegation also offered Indonesia to follow up the cooperation, in particular, in vocational education and polytechnic.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Most Advance<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Coordinating Minister for the Economy Darmin Nasution added that vocational education in Switzerland and Germany is quite advance compared to other countries.\u00a0 President Jokowi was enthusiastic to respond the offer from the leader of the Swiss delegation who is also the former President of Switzerland, Johann N. Schneider-Ammann.<\/p>\n<p>The Government, Darmin added, will follow up this offer immediately prior to the visit of President Jokowi to Swiss at the end of the year. \u0093We will be ready with a more detailed cooperation in vocational sector,\u0094 he said.<\/p>\n<p>In Solo, there is a good academy, ATMI (Technical Academy of Industrial Engineering Polytechnic). In Bandung there is also a good Polytechnic that has cooperated with Switzerland. \u0093The Government wants every city in Indonesia to have a vocational education and training. Probably, there won\u0092t be many, but every big city will have one,\u0094 he said.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Swiss Business Hub for Southeast Asia Region has been inaugurated yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>The delegates who visit President Jokowi were Minister ofEconomy, Education, and Research of Switzerland Johann N. Schneider-Ammann; Ambassador of Switzerland to Indonesia Yvonne Baumann; President of Swiss Global Enterprise Ruth Metzler-Arnold; Member of Swiss Parliament Claude B\u00e9gl\u00e9; President of Swiss-Asia Chamber of Commerce Urs Lustenberger, and President of Applied Sciences and Technology University Prof.Dr. Crispino Bergamaschi.<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, President Jokowi was accompanied by Coordinating Minister for the Economy Darmin Nasution, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, and Deputy of Foreign Affairs Minister A.M.
