Please pay attention to this issue,\u0094 the President said when delivering his introductory remarks at a Limited Meeting on Evaluation on Implementation of Domestic Component Level, at the Presidential Office, Jakarta, Tuesday (1\/8) afternoon. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The President asserted that our related parties must be consistent in performing the policy of TKDN in order to reduce our dependence on imported products and to push investment to flow in to import-substitute industries.<\/p>\n<p>\u0093This is important. I remind you to strengthen transfer of technology, to revive supporting industries and even new industries, to open more job opportunities, and eventually to move the wheel of Indonesia\u0092s economy,\u0094 the President said.<\/p>\n<p>President Jokowi believes that the products produced by our national industry will be able to compete with imported products, both in terms of price and quality, if the producers get support as well as facilities. \u0093Hopefully, it becomes a foundation for us to have a stronger, tougher, and more competitive national industry,\u0094 the President said.<\/p>\n<p>The President admitted that in big State-Owned Enterprises particularly, there are many of them that have not well implemented this TKDN policy. Therefore, the President emphasized that he will find a way to ensure that all parties are aware of this issue.<\/p>\n<p>The Limited Meeting was attended by Vice President Jusuf Kalla, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Wiranto, Coordinating Minister for the Economy Darmin Nasution, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Puan Maharani, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut B. Pandjaitan, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Presidential Chief of Staff Teten Masduki, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati, Minister of Industry Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Trade Enggartiasto Lukita, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of Transportation Budi K.
