President Jokowi hands over land certificates in New Sari Utama Convention Hall Mangli, Jember, East Java, Sunday (13\/8)<\/p><\/div>\n

President Joko \u0091Jokowi\u0092 Widodo accompanied by First Lady Ibu <\/em>Iriana Joko Widodo, handed over Certificate of Rights over Land at New Sari Utama Convention Hall Mangli, Jember, East Java, Sunday (13\/8) morning.<\/p>\n

According to the President, there are 2,740,00 plots of land\u00a0 and until today only 39 percent of them already have a certificate. In 2017, the Government has set a target to finish certification process for 662,00 plots of land in East Java.<\/p>\n

\u0093This morning, 2,850 certificates have been handed over. Please raise your certificates, I want to count them,\u0094 the President said.<\/p>\n

The President expressed his appreciation for the performance of Ministry of Agrarian and Spatial Planning (ATR) and National Land Agency (BPN). However, the President still expects that the certification process could be accelerated so there more certificates to be distributed to the people.<\/p>\n

The President firmly said that land certificate is very important. He admitted that he has received a lot of reports about land dispute between a community and an individual, between the people and the Government, or between the people and private companies.<\/p>\n

Therefore, President Jokowi asked the recipients of certificate to know their land well. They must know the size of their land and the location. Moreover, if the certificate will be used as a collateral, the owner of the land must be careful and well calculate. The President also asked to put the certificate in a plastic cover and make a copy of it so if the certificate is damage or lost, the owner can ask for replacement to the BPN office.<\/p>\n

At the end of his remarks, considering that Indonesia is a diverse country, the President also reminded the importance to maintain this country\u0092s unity. All people should get along well, should not insult, sneer, or pout others because we are all brothers and sisters.<\/p>\n

The 2,850 certificates were handed over to the people from Jember Regency, Lumajang Regency, Banyuwangi Regency, Probolinggo Regency, Bondowoso Regency, Pasuruan, Probolinggo City, and Situbondo Regency.<\/p>\n
