President Joko \u0091Jokowi\u0092 Widodo continued his working visit to Magelang, Central Java by visiting Village Economic Hall in Tuksongo and Wringinputih villages, Borobudur Subdistrict, Magelang Regency, Monday (18\/9).<\/p>\n

On this visit, the President visited the markets, centers of Small and Medium Enterprises, as well as other facilities. Tuksongo Village Economic Hall, that is managed by PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk (Persero), has a number of facilities, such as Joglo<\/em> house and Plaza or Amphitheatre as an art stage as well as cultural performance, a meeting room, six units of homestay, a prayer room, public toilets, toilets for disabled person, a park, two limasan<\/em> houses (traditional Javanese house) that are used as a showroom to display the products of micro, small, and medium enterprises (UMKM), a restaurant, as well as a small limasan<\/em> house used for workshop of UMKM players.<\/p>\n

After visiting Tuksongo Village Economic Hall, the President visited another Hall in Wringinputih Village. The Economic Hall in this Village is completed by a space for traditional archery sports or usually called jemparingan<\/em>.<\/p>\n

For the record, archery or jemparingan<\/em> is a Mataram style archery art that often played in all areas of ancient kingdom of Yogyakarta.<\/p>\n

The Economic Hall in Wringinputih is different from other Halls in Borobudur Subdistrict because all skeletons of the building are made of bamboo. The roof is made of leaves of gass instead of roof tiles and at the back of the building there is an area to practice jemparingan<\/em> with 50 meter target distance.<\/p>\n

Village Economic Hall is one of programs of Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises to help the Government to increase the number of tourists as well as to improve economic condition of an area.<\/p>\n

As an institution, Village Economic Hall is a community-based Interconnecting Tourism System that has a purpose to increase the village\u0092s economy as well as to empower and develop tourism human resources.<\/p>\n

In the area of Borobudur Temple, in particular, there are 15 State-Owned Enterprises which start to develop Village Economic Hall, such as PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk in Tuksongo Village, PT Bank BTN in Karanganyar Village, PT Bank BNI in Wanurejo Village, PT Hutama Karya in Kebon Sari Village, PT Bank BRI in Tanjung Sari Village, PT Pertamina in Wringinputih Village, and PT Semen Indonesia in Candirejo Village.<\/p>\n

The concept to develop the Economic Hall is executed by collaborating with Tourism State-Owned Enterprises, namely PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur Prambanan and Ratu Boko (Persero), PT Hotel Indonesia Natour (HIN) Persero, and PT Patrajasa, as subsidiary of Pertamina that acted as the management of the Economic Hall.<\/p>\n

Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises has allocated funds as part of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) to be managed by the villages\u0092 apparatus together with the local people.<\/p>\n
