(Photo by: Jay\/Public Relations Division)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The issuance of Presidential Instruction Number 7 of 2017 on the Formulation, Supervision, and Monitoring of Policy Implementation in Ministries and Non-ministerial Government Institutions (LPNK) aims to make the Presidential decision more accurate, faster, and easier, as well as to coordinate the decisions with the respective coordinating ministries, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung said.<\/p>\n<p>\u0093All Ministerial Regulations must be consulted with the related coordinating ministers. Do not implement task that is beyond its main duties and functions,\u0094 Pramono said during the opening of Coordinating Meeting on the Implementation of Presidential Instruction Number 7 of 2017 at the Cabinet Secretary\u0092s Meeting Room, the Ministry of State Secretariat Complex, Jakarta, on Tuesday (27\/2). <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Pramono added that each one of policies or regulations must be scrutinized thoroughly before being issued; and policies deemed detrimental to the people must not be issued. For that reason, no sectoral policies or regulations that will not bring value added to the economic development shall be made, he said.<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, in a bid to secure the implementation of the Presidential Instruction, Cabinet Secretary through Regulation of Cabinet Secretary Number 1 of 2018 regulates the guidelines for preparation, implementation, and follow-up to a Cabinet Meeting in order to ease monitoring process to the Presidential decision.<\/p>\n<p>\u0093Do not let the implementation at echelon 1 and 2 levels at ministries\/institutions not run well whereas the President has made the decision in a Cabinet Meeting,\u0094 Pramono firmly said.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, Pramono added that Cabinet Secretariat has already launched the Information System of Follow-up to the President\u0092s Directives (SITAP) to report the follow-up of the results of the President\u0092s directives in systematic, fast, and easy manners.<\/p>\n<p>The Cabinet Secretary also urged secretaries of ministers, secretary-general, and Echelon 1 officials of related ministries to follow-up the directives of the President properly so that all the President\u0092s and Vice President\u0092s expectations can be manifested and the results of Cabinet Meeting can be well-executed.<\/p>\n<p>\u0093We look forward to your cooperation so we can do our utmost in matters relating to Ministerial and Presidential decisions,\u0094 Pramono said.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, the Deputy Cabinet Secretary Ratih Nurdiati in her report asserted that in a bid to follow-up Presidential Instruction Number 7 of 2017, Cabinet Secretary Pramono has issued Regulation of Cabinet Secretary Number 1 of 2018 which serves as operational guidelines and a format of a simple policy work plan, and also issued its supporting IT system, namely SITAP.<\/p>\n<p>\u0093We formulated the SITAP within a month.
