President Joko \u0093Jokowi\u0094 Widodo expressed his happiness over Indonesia\u0092s automotive industry and the increasing automotive products, especially indeed to neighboring countries.<\/p>\n

\u0093But let\u0092s see. If the prices are competitive, I supposed that our exports will be beyond Asia,\u0094 the President said after opening the 2018\u00a0Indonesia International Motor Show\u00a0(IIMS) at JI-Expo Kemayoran, Jakarta, Thursday (19\/4). <\/p>\n

Besides automotive product, the President, Indonesia has also seen its exports of assembled automotive components rise 13 times higher.<\/p>\n

President Jokowi also expressed his belief the rising exports will provide more job opportunities, especially for small and medium industries that manufacture automotive components, be it main components and supporting components. \u0093This industry will be very high and export-oriented,\u0094 the President said.<\/p>\n

In terms of the design of those automotive products, according to President, it is very satisfactory. \u0093This is done by our own people. Almost 100% of car interiors are done by our own country,\u0094 the President said.<\/p>\n

President Jokowi further said the Government will also encourage custom-made products\u00a0such as motorcycles that offer big opportunities both for exports and domestic market. \u0093Small and medium industries can also do custom-made products, those which are\u00a0handmade in terms of colors or design.
