Nurkoyah Marsan Dasan, an Indonesian migrant worker from Rengasdengklok, Karawang who escaped the death row in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia returned to Indonesia on Wednesday (3\/7).<\/p>\n

After a lengthy 8-year legal process, Dammam City General Court on 3 April 2018 spared Nurkoyah from the death sentence related to the murder of her employer’s children in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
\n<\/p>\n

During the trial, Nurkoyah was assisted by a team from the Indonesian Embassy in Riyadh and Mish’al Al Shareef, a lawyer from Mish’al Al Shareef Law Firm.<\/p>\n

Legal Attach\u00e9 of the Indonesian Embassy in Riyadh Muhibuddin, Police Attache Police Chief Commissioner Fahrurrazi, Counselor Sunan Jaya Rustam, and Indonesian Ambassador to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Agus Maftuh Abegebriel accompanied Nurkoyah from Dammam Prison to King Fahd International Airport in Dammam to ensure the returning process run smoothly.<\/p>\n

Ambassador Maftuh said that the Indonesian Embassy in Riyadh will continuously advocate, protect, and serve all Indonesian citizens in the country.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, Nurkoyah expressed his gratitude to President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo who pays great attention to every Indonesian citizen facing legal problems in Saudi Arabia and to the Embassy that has provided legal assistance and legal measures to save her from the death row.<\/p>\n

Nurkoyah returned to Indonesia accompanied by Vice-Consul of the Indonesian Embassy in Riyadh Makki Nahari, and Mish’al Shareef, a well-known Saudi Arabian lawyer who has been intensively advocating several legal cases of Indonesian citizens including Nurkoyah\u0092s case.
