During the working visit in South Korea, President Joko \u0093Jokowi\u0094 Widodo was scheduled to meet with four CEOs of Korean major companies in South Korea.<\/p>\n

Those CEOs are Vice Chairman of Lotte Group Kag-gyu Hwang, Chairman and CEO of POSCO Choi Jeong-woo, Chairman of CJ Group Kyung-shik sohn, and Vice Chairman of Hyundai Motor Company Chung Euison.<\/p>\n

On Monday (9\/10), the President met with Lotte Group\u0092s Vice Chairman Kag-hyu Hwang, who said that he intends to boost investments in Indonesia.<\/p>\n

After the meeting, President Jokowi also attended the Indonesia-Korea Business Investment Forum 2018 and said in his remarks that major companies from South Korea have been operating in Indonesia for some time and today investment from South Korean companies becomes the third biggest in Indonesia.<\/p>\n

\u0093(Investment from South Korea) is on number three in Indonesia,\u0094 the President said, adding that South Korea\u0092s investment in Indonesia ranges from the basic industries such as steel and iron, petrochemical, and aluminum.<\/p>\n

\u0093Korean shoes and garment Factories employ more than 900 thousand Indonesian workers,\u0094 the President added.<\/p>\n

Previously, Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) Rosan Roslani said that he brought 104 entrepreneurs to attend this business forum. \u0093There are still trading and investment potentials between Indonesia and South Korea that has not been tapped,\u0094 Rosan said.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, Chairman of the Korean\u00a0Chamber of Commerce<\/em>\u00a0and Industry Yongman Park emphasized that there still many investment opportunities in Indonesia; thus cooperation between entrepreneurs in the two countries countries entrepreneurs is important.<\/p>\n

Joining the President on that occasion were Coordinating Minister of Political, Legal and Security Affairs Wiranto, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Minister of Industry Airlangga Hartanto, Chief of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Thomas Lembong, Head of the Creative Economy Agencies (Bekraf) Triawan Munaf, and Indonesian Ambassador to South Korea Umar Hadi.
