President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo and South Korean President Moon Jae-in on Monday (10\/9) visited Dongdaemun Market in Seoul, South Korea,.<\/p>\n

President Jokowi, First Lady Ibu Iriana, President Moon Jae-in and Mrs Kim Jung visited a rose garden, walked to Dongdaemun Design Plaza and took pictures with people on the street, according to Deputy for Protocols, Press and Media of the Presidential Secretariat Bey Machmudin,
\n<\/p>\n

At the shopping center, President Jokowi and Ibu Iriana visited several kiosks selling clothes, shirts, suits, and blazers.<\/p>\n

President Jokowi said that Dongdaemun market is similiar to Tanah Abang in Jakarta and Dongdaemun can be a model to develop similar modern markets in Indonesia.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday morning, President Jokowi, First Lady Ibu Iriana and a number of Working Cabinet ministers take a stroll along the Cheonggyecheon River.<\/p>\n

President Jokowi and the First Lady were welcomed by Mayor of Seoul Park Won-soon.<\/p>\n

President Jokowi added that Cheonggyecheon River is a very good inspiration for Ciliwung river in Jakarta and expressed his hope that someday Ciliwung will be as clean as Cheonggyecheon.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, Mayor Park Woon-soon said that Jakarta and Seoul are bound in the sister city agreement and Park is ready to help whatever President Jokowi needs.<\/p>\n

For the record, President Jokowi is an honorary citizen of Seoul.<\/p>\n

Also present during the event were Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform Syafruddin, Head of the Creative Economy Agency (Bekraf) Triawan Munaf, and Indonesian Ambassador to South Korea Umar Hadi.<\/p>\n
