President Joko \u0093Jokowi\u0094 Widodo said that the current global economy condition is heading to the so-called \u0091Infinity War\u0092 just like in the movie \u0091Avengers: Infinity War\u0092 in which Thanos – the villain figure – threatens to wipe out half of the world\u0092s population.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, President Jokowi believes that he and his \u0091fellow Avengers\u0092 are ready to tackle the problem.<\/p>\n

\u0093Thanos wants to wipe out half of the population because he believes the earth\u0092s resources are limited,\u0094 said President Jokowi in his remarks at the World Economic Forum on ASEAN at the National Convention Center, Hanoi, Vietnam, Wednesday (9\/12).<\/p>\n

According to the President, the fact is that human natural resources are not limited and technology development, for example, has increased efficiency and provided capability to enhance resources.<\/p>\n

\u0093Scientific research proves that our economy today is \u0091lighter\u0092 physically and in volume since the last 12 years. The total weight of television, camera, music players, books, printer press, and magazine are replaced by the lightness of cellphones and tablets,\u0094 the President said.<\/p>\n

The President also cited an example in how the power plants powered by huge and heavy coal, are replaced by thin and light solar panels.<\/p>\n

Before several state leaders attend the forum, President Jokowi also explained that it is time for economy to develop not only from natural resources, but from unlimited human resources. \u0093Asian Games and Asian Para Games that are held in Jakarta and Palembang are a spectacular show from Asia\u0092s talented people. More than 14 thousand athletes and 7 thousand officials from 45 countries compete in 40 sporting events,\u0094 the President said.<\/p>\n

The President added that even on the opening and closing ceremony, thousand singers, dancers and celebrities from Indonesia, India, South Korea, and other nations also participated in celebrating this event, including the performance of dangdut singers from Indonesia, Bollywood singers from India, and K-Pop from Korea.<\/p>\n

Indonesian younger generation, the President added, are also developing e-commerce and digital economy transformation. \u0093Today, Indonesia has four Unicorn start-ups worth billions of dollars, the same amount of unicorn by 28 European Union countries combined,\u0094 the President said.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, President Jokowi added that human Resources also drive the fourth Industrial revolution or 4.0 Industry revolutions and on April 4th<\/sup> the Indonesian Government launched a government industrial revolution program called \u0093Making Indonesia 4.0.\u0094 \u0093I believe that Industrial Revolution 4.0 can create more jobs and increase equality because one of the important aspects from Industry 4.0 is derivation of product costs and services and can also lower price of products to be cheaper and make it easier to be reached by people with low income,\u0094 said the President.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, President Jokowi believes that ASEAN, including Indonesia will be ahead in the 4.0 Industry Revolutions.<\/p>\n

The President once again exampled Asian Games, Indonesia has shown Autonomous Vehicle trials operated by 5G network.<\/p>\n

However, President again asserted to head to that direction, ASEAN nations must prevent the trade war to become \u0091Infinity War\u0092. Thanos according to The President, is not an individual, but a mistaken belief that in order reach success, others must lose.<\/p>\n

\u0093The \u0093Infinity War\u0094 is not only about the trade war, but is about all of us who have to learn from history, with creativity, energy, collaboration, and partnership. We as human beings can enjoy \u0093abundance\u0094 and we can create no \u0093Infinity War\u0094 but \u0093unlimited resources,\u0094 the President concluded.
