President Joko \u0093Jokowi\u0094 Widodo on Monday (17\/9) hosted delegates of the Senate of Czech Republic at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta.<\/p>\n

In his remarks, the President said that Indonesia and the Czech Republic are old friends. \u0093The Czech Republic is one of the first European countries to recognize Indonesia\u0092s independence,\u0094 he said.<\/p>\n

President Jokowi also expressed gratitude for the Czech Republic\u0092s support for Indonesia to become a non-permanent member at the UN Security Council for the period of 2019-2020. \u0093We are committed to promoting cooperation with the Czech Republic in various sectors, especially trade and industry sector,\u0094 the President added.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, Milan Stechm President of the Czech Republic Senate who led the delegation thanked President Jokowi for the Warm welcome given. “We appreciate this valuable moment,” he said.<\/p>\n
