Photo by: BPMI<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The village fund program has significantly contributed to village development in Indonesia, providing at least 123,000 kilometers of roads in rural areas and 11,500 integrated health service (posyandu), President Joko \u0093Jokowi\u0094 Widodo said during the Workshop on Village Fund Management in Semarang, Thursday (22\/11).<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Village Fund has been allocated for 18,000 Early Child Education Center (PAUD), 6,500 village markets, 791,000 meter bridge, 28,000 irrigation units, 1,900 reservoirs, and 26,700 activities on Village Business Unit,&#8221; the President said, adding that the development of village infrastructures shows that village fund program has provided concrete results to meet the village\u0092s needs.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nPresident Jokowi further said that after four years, the village fund is expected to support economic empowerment and village innovation, citing an example of a village that becomes a tourism village and can generate a lot of income for villagers.<\/p>\n<p>The President went on to say that the implementation of the village innovation program is expected to include the development of the local economy through entrepreneurship by utilizing existing resources.<\/p>\n<p>On that occasion, the President expressed his hope that the villages could start thinking about increasing the added value of village mainstay product by producing well-packed products.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;For example, in villages there are many coffee plantations that produced green coffee beans. Now the coffee beans have been sold in the form of final product with good packaging and brand, or at least in form of intermediate goods,\u0094 President Jokowi said.<\/p>\n<p>According to the President, selling final product will give greater value added and more profit for the villagers, about 10 to 30 times higher, compared to selling raw or intermediate goods.
