\u0093Meanwhile, the dominance of low air pressure around Australia is quite significant and causes wind slowdown and collide around the southern regions of Indonesia,\u0094 he said.<\/p>\n

Mulyono further said that these conditions are expected to potentially increase rainfall in most regions of in the country between 28 to 31 December 2018.<\/p>\n

According to the release, potential of heavy rains are expected to occur in:<\/p>\n

– Bengkulu;
\n– South Sumatra;
\n– Bangka Belitung Islands;
\n– North Kalimantan;
\n– South Sulawesi;
\n– Central Java;
\n– Special Region of Yogyakarta;
\n– East Java;
\n– Bali;
\n– West Nusa Tenggara;
\n– East Nusa Tenggara;
\n– Southern Maluku;<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, some regions are expected to experience strong winds. Those regions are:<\/p>\n

– Lampung;
\n– Banten;
\n– Special Capital Region of Jakarta;
\n– West Java;
\n– Central Java;
\n– East Java;
\n– West Kalimantan;
\n– Central Kalimantan;
\n– South Kalimantan;
\n– East Nusa Tenggara;
\n– North Sulawesi;
\n– South Sulawesi;
\n– Southeast Sulawesi;
\n– North Maluku;
\n– Southern Maluku;
\n– West Papua;<\/p>\n

Also, the release also stated that rough waves are likely to occur in:<\/p>\n

– Southern Sunda Strait;
\n– South Java’s waters to Sumbawa Island;
\n– Bali Strait – Lombok Strait – Southern Alas Strait;
\n– South Indian Ocean near Banten;
\n– South Indian Ocean near Bali to West Nusa Tenggara;
\n– Anambas and Natuna Islands\u0092 water;
\n– Java Sea;
\n– Northern waters of Kangean Islands;
\n– Sangihe \u0096 Talaud Islands\u0092 water;
\n– Manado waters \u0096 Bitung;
\n– Central to eastern Sulawesi Sea;
\n– Maluku Sea;
\n– Northern waters of Halmahera Islands;
\n– North Pacific Ocean of Halmahera to West Papua;<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, very rough waves are expected to occur in:<\/p>\n

– South Indian Ocean near West Java to East Java;
\n– Northern waters Nias Islands;
\n– North Natuna Sea;<\/p>\n

The BMKG, Mulyono continued, urged the public to remain vigilant about the potential for hydro-meteorological disasters such as floods, flash floods, landslides and strong winds in the next few days, especially for regions that have seen high intensity rain.<\/p>\n
