(Photo by: Ministry of Health)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Medial Emergency Team from Ministry of Health provided Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) health counseling for residents affected by the Sunda Strait tsunami in Banten province and southern Lampung.<\/p>\n<p>The counseling includes promoting habit to wash hands with soap, promoting exclusive breastfeeding, preserving environmental health, and maintaining personal hygiene. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The counseling, conducted through print media such as posters, leaflets, banners, and videos, was held in six coordination posts in Banten, among others State Junior High School 1 Carita Post, Tembong Post, Pasanggrahan Tourism Service Station Post, MT. Al-Ikhlas Post, MTsN 2 Pandeglang Post, Labuan Sport Center Post, as well as in\u00a0six coordination posts in southern Lampung, namely Bob Bazar Post, Canti Supporting Health Center Post, Banding Shelter Post, Rajabasa Health Center Post, Rajabasa Makeshift Hospital Post, and Kalianda Shelter Post.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to providing the counseling, the team also provided assistance in the form of daily necessities for the victims.<\/p>\n<p>Minister of Health Nila F. Moeloek said that raising awareness of the tsunami victims through the PHBS counseling can also be done through things closest to them such as installing health banners in places they often go through.<\/p>\n<p>\u0093Health promotion is important to remind the public of keeping health. Though the tsunami has affected the \u00a0environmental structure that triggers the spread of disease, I hope the victims can still maintain their health,\u0094 Nila said on Monday (31\/12) in Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, six tsunami victims comprising four adults and two elderly people at the Kunjir Health Post, Rajabasa subdistrict, Lampung were given medical assistance by the Health Cluster Team on Sunday (30\/12). \u00a0For the record, most of the tsunami victims suffer from hypertension, gastritis, and minor injuries.<\/p>\n<p>In conducting services at health posts, the team is facing several obstacles such as limited road access and environmental waste.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(Public Relations of Ministry of Health \/EN)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Translated by: Muhardi<\/p>\n<p>Edited by: M.
