Photo by: Deni\/PR.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Quake-resistant houses are very important in a quake-prone Lombok island, President Joko \u0093Jokowi\u0094 Widodo has said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We must be aware that Lombok is located in a quake-prone area, so we need to build quake-resistant houses,&#8221; President Jokowi said when inspecting the Disbursement of House Stimulant Funds in West Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Friday (22\/3).<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nThe President added that he has ordered several Ministers of the Cabinet to quickly complete the houses\u0092 reconstruction after the quake hit Lombok in August last year. The house development procedures, he said, \u00a0have been simplified from seventeen steps to four steps ever since.<\/p>\n<p>President Jokowi went on to say that the quake-resistant houses built in Lombok survived another quake that occurred on 17 March, during which non quake-resistant houses collapsed. He added that Lombok is blessed with fertile soil and beautiful beaches and nature despite the fact that it is located in a quake-prone area.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We must accept the reality.
