Attorney General’s Office launches a flagship program named \u0093Jaga Desa\u0094 (Guarding Villages) aiming to support village development. The Attorney General’s Office runs the program in collaboration with Ministries and Non-Ministerial Government Institutions.<\/p>\n

“The Attorney General’s Office and other government institutions aim to support (village apparatus) to achieve high quality development” Junior Attorney General for Intelligence Jan S. Maringka said during Government Public Relations Coordination Agency (Bakohumas) Thematic Forum, in Jakarta, Tuesday (26\/3).
\n
\nMaringka added that the Government provides Rp70 trillion of Village Fund this year to support village development and provide jobs. Law Enforcement Agencies, he said, should oversee the allocation of the Fund to achieve the target and to benefit the People.<\/p>\n

“Attorney General’s Office, village apparatus, as well as the regional governments should work together in developing the nation,” Maringka said.<\/p>\n

Maringka went on to say that village apparatus and the public can consult Attorney Offices in Regencies\/Municipalities to oversee the distribution and utilization of the Village Fund. He added that the program is part of Law Enforcement Agencies\u0092 support for national development.<\/p>\n

\u0093Law enforcement is successful if we are able to reduce crime rates and increase legal awareness of the people” Maringka concluded.<\/p>\n

Also present during the event were, among others, Director General for Information and Public Communication of the Ministry of Communication and Informatics Niken Widiastuti, Secretary General of Association of Indonesian Village Apparatus Ipin Arifin, and public relations officers from Ministries and Non-Ministerial Government Institutions.
