(Photo by: Ministry of Finance PR)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>In an effort to promote Garut\u0092s tourism potentials and to boost economy in the region, state-owned railway operator PT KAI will reactivate the Cibatu-Garut route in West Java which is part of the Cibatu-Garut-Cikajang train routes stretching 47.5 kilometers.<\/p>\n<p>Director of PT KAI Edi Sukmoro asserted that reactivation of Cibatu-Garut route will be completed this year, while the reconstruction process will begin in May 2019. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>For the record, the Cibatu-Garut route is already exist, but only used by large mallet locomotives. The route was deactivated since the locomotives are no longer used.
