Moving the national capital city requires careful and detailed preparation, President Joko \u0091Jokowi\u0092 Widodo has said.<\/p>\n

\u0093We have to talk about the greater, long-term interests of the nation in facing global competition,\u0094 President Jokowi said at his remarks at Limited Cabinet Meeting on the Follow-Up Plan for the Transfer of Capital City, at the Presidential Office, Jakarta, Monday (29\/4).<\/p>\n

The idea, the President continued, had emerged since the era of the first Indonesian President Soekarno and had always been discourse in every era of the presidents but the plan never came to fruition.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the President reminded whether in the future Jakarta can bear two burdens at once, namely as administrative and business center of the country, we must think visionary for the progress of this country.<\/p>\n

According to President Jokowi, several countries\u0097including Malaysia, South Korea, Brazil, Kazakhstan\u0097had anticipated the development of their countries in the future by moving their administrative center to another city.<\/p>\n

\u0093But I believe, In shaa Alloh<\/em>, God willing, if we prepare well from the start, we will realize this great idea,\u0094 the President stated.<\/p>\n

Also attending the meeting were, among others, Vice President Jusuf Kalla, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Wiranto, Coordinating Minister for the Economy Darmin Nasution, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut B. Panjaitan, Minister of Defense Ryamizard Ryacudu, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani, Minister of Law and Human Rights Yasonna Laoly, Minister of National Development Planning\/Head of National Development Planning Agency Bambang Brodjonegoro, Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning\/ Head of National Land Agency Sofyan Jalil, Minister of Communication and Informatics Rudiantara, Minister of Trade Enggartiasto Lukita, Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reforms Syafruddin, Attorney General Prasetyo.
