Hanif Dhakiri has asked companies to pay religious holiday allowance (THR) to their employees two weeks before Eid Day.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We hope that the workers can well prepare their <em>mudik<\/em> (annual exodus),&#8221; the Minister said in Jakarta, Wednesday (8\/5).<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The Minister also emphasized that providing the bonus is an obligation that must be fulfilled by employers to their employees in accordance with Minister of Manpower Regulation Number 6 of 2016.<\/p>\n<p>The amount of the bonus for workers who have worked for 12 months or more is a one-month wage, while for workers who have worked less than 12 months, the bonus is given proportionally according to the predetermined calculation, namely the work period divided by 12 months multiplied by one-month wage.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, for casual workers who have worked for 12 months or more, the amount is based on one-month wage calculated based on the average wages received in the last 12 months before Eid Day. As for casual workers who have worked less than 12 months, a one-month wage is calculated based on the average wage received each month during the period of employment.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;For companies that determine larger amount of bonus in work agreements, company regulations or collective labor agreements, the bonus is paid to workers in accordance with the aforementioned work agreement, company regulations, or collective labor agreements,&#8221; the Minister said.<\/p>\n<p>Hanif further said that he will immediately issue the THR circular letter to the regional heads and launch \u0092 THR complaint posts\u0092.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;For workers whose bonus is not paid, they can file a complaint to the THR complaint posts which will be opened at the provincial and regency\/city level offices as well as at Ministry of Manpower,&#8221; he said.<strong> (Ministry of Manpower PR\/ES)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Translated by : Fairuzzamani Inayatillah<br \/>\nEdited by : Ridwan Ibadurrohman, M.
