\"Apel-TNI\"<\/a>In a bid to deal with highly escalation threats which endanger the ideology, sovereignty, and integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia and its people, the Government establishes the Special Operations Command of the Indonesian National Defense Forces (Koopssus TNI).<\/p>\n

In this regard, President Joko \u0091Jokowi\u0092 Widodo on 3 July 2019 has signed Presidential Regulation Number 42 of 2019 on the Second Amendment to Presidential Regulation Number 10 of 2010 on the Organizational Structure of the Indonesian National Defense Forces.<\/p>\n

The Presidential Regulation restructures the organizational structure of the TNI as follows:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Leadership element: Commander of the TNI.<\/li>\n
  2. Assistants to the Leader: 1. General Staff of the TNI; 2. Inspectorate General of the TNI; 3. Expert Staff to the Commander of the TNI; 4. Strategic Policy and Planning Staff of the TNI; 5. Intelligent Staff of the TNI; 6. Operational Staff of the TNI; 7. Personal Staff of the TNI; 8. Logistics Staff of the TNI; 9. Territorial Staff of the TNI; and 10. Communication and Electronics Staff of the TNI.<\/li>\n
  3. Supporting Units: 1. Communication and Electronics Service of the TNI; 2. Operations Control Center of the TNI; 3. General Secretariat of the TNI; and 4. TNI Headquarters Detachment.<\/li>\n
  4. Central Executive Agencies: 1. Staff and Command Colleges of the TNI; 2. Education, Training and Doctrine,Development Command of the TNI; 3. Academy of the TNI; 4. Strategic Intelligence Agency of the TNI; 5. Presidential Security Detail; 6. Legal Fostering Agency of the TNI; 7. Information Center of the TNI; 8. Health Center of the TNI; 9. Military Police of the TNI; 10. Supplies Agency of the TNI; 11. Center for Mental Development of the TNI; 12. Financial Agency of the TNI; 13. Historical Center of the TNI; 14. Center for Information and Data Processing of the TNI; 15. Peacekeeping Mission Center; 16. Strategy Research Center of the TNI; 17. Center for Leadership Development of the TNI; 18. Center for International Cooperation of the TNI; 19. Physical Center and Basic Military Regulations of the TNI; 20. Rapid Disaster Relief Response Command; 21. Rapid-Reaction Strike Force of the TNI; 23. Cyber Task Force of the TNI; and 24. Special Operations Command of the TNI.<\/li>\n
  5. Main Operations Commands of the TNI: 1. National Air Defense Forces Command; 2. Regional Defense Joint Command; 3. Army Strategic Reserve Command; 4. Special Forces Command; 5. Military Regional Command; 6. Fleet Command; 7. Military Sealift Command; and 8. Air Force Operational Command.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    \u0093The Main Operations Command as referred to in letter e number 3 to number 8 also is also functions as the Central Fostering Command ,\u0094 article 12 paragraph (2) the Regulation reads.<\/p>\n

    According to the Regulation, the Koopssus TNI is in charge of carrying out special operations and activities that require high speed and success to save national interests at home and abroad.<\/p>\n

    \u0093The Koopssus TNI is led by the Commander of the Koopssus TNI called Dankoopssus TNI and is directly subordinate and responsible to the Commander of TNI, whereas the performance of daily tasks is coordinated by the Chief of General Staf,\u0094 Article 46b paragraph (2) of the Regulation reads.\u00a0 In addition to that, Article 46b paragraph (3) mentions that the Dankoopssus TNI is assisted by Deputy Commander of the Koopssus TNI called Wadankoopssus TNI.<\/p>\n

    The appendix of this Regulation stipulates that Dankoopssus TNI should be a two-star general, while Wadankoopssus TNI should be a one-star general.<\/p>\n

    \u0093This Presidential Regulation shall apply as of the date of its promulgation,\u0094 Article II of the Regulation which was promulgated by Minister of Law and Human Rights Yasonna H. Laoly on 8 July 2019 reads. (Pusdatin\/ES)<\/strong><\/p>\n
