Photo by: Agung\/PR.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung has said that he has been commemorating the independence day of the Republic of Indonesia since his childhood.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Every moment of independence commemoration is very meaningful for me, because that (the independence commemoration) has shaped my character,&#8221; the Cabinet Secretary said in his office, Jakarta.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nOn that occasion Pramono also explained the meaning of the theme of the 74<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of Indonesian independence, namely &#8220;Excellent Human Capital, Advanced Indonesia&#8221;. He said that Indonesia is now ranked 15<sup>th<\/sup> out of the twenty G20 member countries. To achieve more, Indonesia could no longer just rely on natural resources or industrialization, but also on human capital.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The second administration of President Jokowi will focus on human capital development. Indonesia seeks to join the top 10 world economic powers in 2024, the last year of the President Jokowi\u2019s administration,&#8221; Pramono said, adding that a change in the way of educating students is needed to prepare students to become truly advanced human beings, who are competitive and ready to face global competition.<\/p>\n<p>Each generation, has different challenges, and the challenges for the current millennial generation are very different (from those of the previous generation).<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Today is the era of digital economy, the era of technology, 5G is soon available, then the challenges of this millennial generation are very different. And for that you need creativity, you need courage, you need innovation. You also need to learn and move forward together. That is the strength of Indonesia&#8217;s millennial,\u201d the Cabinet Secretary further said.<\/p>\n<p>He went on to say that many Indonesian millennials have achieved world-class achievement. The future of Indonesia, he added, depends on how these millennials spend their time contributing to their nation.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of the interview, the Cabinet Secretary extended his wishes for the commemoration of the Independence Day of Indonesia. &#8220;<em>Merdeka<\/em> for the Indonesian people, the state and the nation.
