State civil apparatus (ASN) must be ready to be assigned in all regions in Indonesia, Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) Syafruddin has said commenting on the government\u2019s capital relocation.<\/p>\n

“State civil apparatus have signed a contract with the state to be willing to be posted anywhere. It has been stated in laws and government regulations,” Syafruddin said in a press conference at office of the Vice President, Tuesday (27\/8).<\/p>\n

The Minister added that in Law Number 5 of 2014 on State Civil Apparatus (ASN) and Government Regulation Number 11 of 2017 on Management of Civil Servants, it is stated that each ASN must be willing to be posted in the entire territory of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia or other countries determined by the government.<\/p>\n

Comprehensive considerations from various aspects, he added, have been carried out and studied by the Government before deciding on the policy, so there is no cause for concern about the relocation.<\/p>\n

“The capital relocation is a form of good intentions to make our people make progress. In addition, there is not a single country in the world which makes policies to burden their people. Surely, there will be great benefits for anyone,” he said.<\/p>\n

The Minister also stated that the ASNs who will move to the new capital are those who work at central government level such as ministries, institutions, or agencies.<\/p>\n

“The young ASNs will move (to the new capital). They are reliable, mentally prepared, insightful, have good thinking skills,” he said.<\/p>\n

The Government, the Minister added, will also implement the concept of forest city in the proposed capital, which will be located in North Penajam Paser regency and Kutai Kartanegara regency. Therefore, he urged all ASNs to remain positive about this plan.<\/p>\n

“In the new capital, we will prepare good facilities for all servants of the country,” he said.\u00a0(PR of PANRB Ministry \/ES)<\/strong><\/p>\n
