As many as 9 million parcels of land in Central Java must be certified by 2024, President Joko \u201cJokowi\u201d Widodo has said.<\/p>\n

The President added that out of 21 million parcels of land to be certified in Central Java province, only 12 million of them are already certified.<\/p>\n

\u201cInsha Allah<\/em>, God willing, it all will be certified by 2024. As for Sukoharjo Regency, I hope all parcels of land can be certified earlier, in 2020,\u201d President Jokowi said when distributing 3,000 land certificates, at Pandawa Sports Complex, Sukoharjo Regency, Central Java, Friday (6\/9).<\/p>\n

The President reminded the residents that land certificate is important since he always received complaints from the people during his working visits to regions regarding land disputes and agrarian matters.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt (the land disputes) happens between neighbors, between people and the Government, or between people and enterprises not only in Java Island, but also in Sumatra, Kalimantan, Maluku, Sulawesi, Papua, Bali, NTT (East Nusa Tenggara), NTB (West Nusa Tenggara), and several other provinces. The disputes arise because 80 million parcels of land have yet to be certified,\u201d the President said.<\/p>\n

Therefore, he added, the Government has ordered Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning (ATR)\/ Head of the National Land Agency (BPN) to accelerate land certificate issuance. The distribution of land certificates has increased from 500,000 to 5.3 million certificates in 2017, 7 million certificates in 2018, and 9 million certificates this year.<\/p>\n

\u201cI thank the Head of Sukoharjo Regional Land Agency and other officials for working hard from morning to evening. That is what it takes to serve the public. We must be quick, prompt, and monitor the program consistently,\u201d the President stated.<\/p>\n

Also on that occasion, President Jokowi reminded those who already have the certificate to keep it in a safe place, make a photocopy of it and keep it in other place. \u201cThus, if the certificate is lost, the copy of it will make reissuance process at the National Land Agency (BPN) easier,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Also attending the event were, among others, Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning (ATR)\/ Head of the National Land Agency (BPN) Sofyan Djalil, Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko, and Deputy Governor of Central Java Taj Yasin Maimoen.\u00a0(MAY\/JAY\/ES)<\/strong><\/p>\n
