The Government has completed 81 National Strategic Projects with a total investment of up to Rp390 trillion starting from 2016 to August 2019, according to Coordinating Minister for the Economy Darmin Nasution.<\/p>\n

Between January and August 2019 alone, 19 projects were completed with an investment of Rp87.7 trillion, he added. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe projects consist of the constructions of three airports, five roads, four regions, two smelters, three dams, and two sectors of technologies,\u201d Darmin said in his remarks at a Coordination Meeting of the Committee for the Acceleration of Priority Infrastructure Provision (KPPIP) in Jakarta, Monday (9\/9).<\/p>\n

Deputy to the Coordinating Minister for Coordinating Sector for the Acceleration of Infrastructure and Regional Development Wahyu Utomo reported that as of August 2019, the progress of 223 Projects + 3 National Strategic Projects from the enactment of Presidential Regulation Number 56 of 2018 are as follows: 51 projects completed (Rp295 trillion); 27 projects, 1 electricity program, and 1 economic equality program in the construction phase and start operation (Rp1,348 trillion); 23 projects in the construction phase and will start operation in 2019 (Rp154 trillion); 78 projects in the construction phase and will start operation after 2019 (Rp1,351 trillion); 5 projects in the transaction stage (Rp413 trillion); and 39 projects and 1 aircraft industry program in the preparation phase (Rp621 trillion).<\/p>\n

In the meantime, the progress of the 35,000 megawatt electricity program from December 2016 to July 2019 include 3,768 megawatt in operation (Rp101.7 trillion); 21,992.1 megawatt under construction; 7,515.1 megawatt has completed the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) but not yet financially closed; 1,453 megawatt in the procurement stage; and 734 megawatt in the planning stage.<\/p>\n

The meeting also discussed a Presidential Regulation bill on Limited Management Rights (HPT)\/Limited Concession Scheme (LCS) and issues relating to land acquisition payments by the State Asset Management Institute. (Coordinating Ministry for the Economy PR\/ES)<\/p>\n
