Photo by: Jay\/PR.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>President Joko \u201cJokowi\u201d Widodo has said that the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is a state institution and reminded the KPK leaders to be wise in conducting state duties.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The KPK is a state institution. So please be wise in conducting state duties,&#8221; the President told the reporters after the opening of the 16<sup>th<\/sup> National Conference of Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) at the Sultan Hotel, Jakarta, Monday (16\/9).<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nThe President made the statement after the leaders of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) returned their mandate to the President, in relation to the proposed amendment to Law Number 30 of 2002 on the Corruption Eradication Commission.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding the returning of the mandate, President Jokowi said that Law on KPK does not stipulate it. The Law, he added, stipulates the procedure when the leaders resign, pass away, or commit corruption.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There is no such thing as a mandate return,&#8221; the President said, adding that he trust the existing leaders of the KPK.<\/p>\n<p>President Jokowi went on to say that the KPK&#8217;s performance is good. He added that if the leaders of KPK want to meet him, the Minister of State Secretary would arrange the time.<\/p>\n<p>The President further said that the Government is currently designing regulations stipulated in amendment to the KPK Law, which is initiated by the House of Representatives (DPR).<\/p>\n<p>The amendment of the KPK Law, the President added, is the domain of the DPR. Therefore, he invited all parties to ensure that the KPK remained strong in eradicating corruption. &#8220;That\u2019s our duty,&#8221; President Jokowi conluded.
