President Joko \u201cJokowi\u201d Widodo has appointed Coordinating Minister for the Economy Darmin Nasution as ad interim Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture.<\/p>\n

Darmin replaced Puan Maharani, who has officially resigned from her post after she is elected as a member of the House of Representatives (DPR) for the 2019-2024 period.

\nPuan has also been inaugurated as Speaker of the House for the 2019-2024 period. The ceremony took place in the DPR Plenary Session at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday (10\/1).<\/p>\n

The appointment of Darmin Nasution as ad interim Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture is based on Presidential Decree Number 100\/P of 2019 on Dismissal and Appointment, Authorities, and Responsibilities of Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture.<\/p>\n

He will carry out the duties of Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture as well as to carry out his duties as Coordinating Minister for the Economy. (Presidential Secretariat\/ES)<\/p>\n
