{"id":171851,"date":"2019-10-13T17:09:30","date_gmt":"2019-10-13T10:09:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/setkab.go.id\/?p=171851"},"modified":"2019-10-18T15:15:11","modified_gmt":"2019-10-18T08:15:11","slug":"govt-to-launch-jakarta-sewerage-development-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/setkab.go.id\/en\/govt-to-launch-jakarta-sewerage-development-project\/","title":{"rendered":"Gov\u2019t to Launch Jakarta Sewerage Development Project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-171852\" src=\"https:\/\/setkab.go.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Limbah-Domestik-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"852\" \/>Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) through Directorate General of Housing Development, in collaboration with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), provides support for Provincial Government of Special Capital Region of Jakarta (DKI Jakarta) to build domestic wastewater treatment plants and pipelines called \u201cJakarta Sewerage Development Project\u201d (JSDP).<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The aims (of the project) are to improve access to sanitation in DKI Jakarta and to protect water quality from domestic waste pollution,&#8221; a press release from Ministry of PUPR stated on Friday (11\/10).<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nMinister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono said that sanitation problems are not merely a matter of infrastructure availability, but also very dependent on healthy habit and environmental hygiene.<\/p>\n<p>The construction of the Domestic Wastewater Treatment Plant (IPAL) in DKI Jakarta covers two service zones, namely Zone 1 and Zone 6. The construction of Zone 1 is planned to be financed by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government and Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing through the assistance of the Government of Japan.<\/p>\n<p>The investment value for the construction of Zone 1 is Rp9.87 trillion (Rp7.7 trillion from Ministry of PUPR and Rp2.17 trillion from Jakarta Provincial Budget), including for piped networks with an interceptor system.<\/p>\n<p>The construction of Zone 1 will begin in February 2021 in Pluit, with an area of 3.9 hectares and a capacity of 240,000 m3\/day to serve 220,000 house connections (SR) or 989,389 people.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The scope of services covers 41 villages in 8 subdistricts, namely Menteng, Tanah Abang, Gambir, Sawah Besar, Taman Sari, Tambora, Pademangan, and Penjaringan. The Detailed Engineering Design (DED) has now been completed,&#8221; the press release stated.<\/p>\n<p>The Zone 6 will be built in Duri Kosambi area with a capacity of 282,500 m3\/day using A2O processing technology combined with Integrated Fixbed Film Activated Sludge (IFAS).<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The target beneficiaries are 180,800 people in 2 subdistricts in Central Jakarta, namely Gambir and Tanah Abang, 8 subdistricts in West Jakarta namely Cengkareng, Grogol, Petamburan, Kebon Jeruk, Kalideres, Palmerah, Kembangan, and Tambora; Kebayoran Lama District in South Jakarta and Penjaringan District in North Jakarta,&#8221; the press release explained.<\/p>\n<p>The estimated cost of constructing Zone 6 is estimated at Rp4.6 trillion, and will be funded by Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing and foreign aid (Rp3.75 trillion) and Rp0.85 trillion from DKI Jakarta Provincial Budget.<\/p>\n<p>For the record, a memorandum of understanding has been signed on 11 July 2019 between Japan (represented by JICA) and the Government of Indonesia (represented by Ministry of Finance).<\/p>\n<p>The construction of Zone 6 consists of 4 phases and the first phase will cover a total of 4 work packages, namely Package 1 (including Pump and ICB Station), Package 2 (Trunk Sewer), Package 3 (Service Pipes, Lateral Pipes, and Plot pipes in the model area) and Package 4 (Service Pipes, Lateral Pipes, and Plot Pipes outside the model area).
