On the sidelines of the 35th <\/sup>ASEAN Summit in Bangkok, President Joko \u201cJokowi\u201d Widodo and Secretary General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres discussed the issues of Rakhine State and Palestine.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have delivered the President\u2019s position on these issues,\u201d Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi told reporters after the meeting on Saturday (2\/11).
\n
\nRetno went on to say that Indonesia is \u201cmore than ready\u201d to solve these two complicated problems, adding that \u00a0the UN Secretary General praised President Jokowi for Indonesia\u2019s contributions to solve the problems in \u00a0Rakhine State.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Secretary General said that there has not been any significant progress in Palestine and Rakhine State but we must continue to make our best effort to solve these humanitarian issues,” Retno said.<\/p>\n

Joining the President during the meeting were Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, and Minister of Trade Agus Suparmanto.<\/p>\n
