Based on the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Mckinsey Global Institute\u2019s prediction, Indonesia will become the fourth largest economies in the world, according to President Joko \u201cJokowi\u201d Widodo.<\/p>\n

\u201cI believe we can realize it. Our Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is projected to reach US$23,000 to US$29,000 per year or increase from Rp2-3 million to Rp23 million,\u201d President Jokowi said when meeting with 22 Indonesian young researchers living in South Korea, at Lotte Hotel, Busan, Monday (25\/11).<\/p>\n

According to the President, such huge leaps will be made once the country completes its tasks without any political turbulence.<\/p>\n

Political stability and security, the President added, must be maintained because Indonesia is facing great challenges.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are now building trust and showing other countries that Indonesia has successfully maintained its economic growth to above 5 percent amidst global economic turmoil,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

He expressed belief that other countries will acknowledge Indonesia and develop trust if we can keep maintaining the growth rate.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe hope for such results so it can accelerate Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) flow to the country. Thus, Indonesia can become the world\u2019s fourth largest economies,\u201d the President added.<\/p>\n

He went on to say that the 22 young researches will lead research sector in the future and contribute to new emerging industries. \u201cGet as many as experience here, but one day you must return to our country,\u201d President Jokowi said.<\/p>\n

Before the researchers, the President asserted that Indonesia will be ready to implement B30 which is projected to reduce fuel export. When economic or technological transformation takes place, we can use our local products, for example nickel ore which is used to make electric car batteries, he added.<\/p>\n

Also accompanying President Jokowi in that visit were Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut B. Pandjaitan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, and Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono. (EN\/ES)<\/strong><\/p>\n
