In a bid to support the implementation of the 2020 National Games (PON) XX and National Paralympic Games XVI to be held in Papua Province, President Joko \u201cJokowi\u201d Widodo on Friday (17\/1) signed Presidential Instruction No. 1\/2020 on the Acceleration of Support Musters for Implementation of the 2020 National Games (PON) XX and National Paralympic Games XVI in Papua Province.<\/p>\n
Subjects of this Presidential Instruction are: 1. Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture; 2. Minister of Home Affairs; 3. Minister of Finance; 4. Minister of Youth and Sports; 5. Minister of National Development Planning \/Head of National Development Planning Agency; 6. Minister of Public Works and Public Housing; 7. Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning \/ Head of National Land Agency; 8. Minister of Transportation; 9. Minister of Education and Culture; 10. Minister of Health; 11.Minister of Industry; 12.Minister of Trade; 13.Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy\/ Head of Tourism and Creative Economy Agency; 14.Minister of Communication and Informatics; 15.Minister of State-owned Enterprises; 16.Minister of Agriculture; 17.Minister of Social Affairs; 18.Attorney General of the Republic of Indonesia; 19.Commander of the Indonesian National Defense Forces (TNI); 20.Chief of the Indonesian National Police (Polri); 21.Head of Development Finance Comptroller (BPKP); 22.Head of National Search and Rescue Agency; 23.Chairman of the National Public Procurement Agency (LKPP); 24.Governor of Papua Province; 25.Mayor of Jayapura; 26.Regent of Jayapura; 27.Regent of Mimika; and 28.Regent of Merauke.<\/p>\n
Under this Presidential Instruction, President Jokowi instructs the aforementioned high-ranking officials to take measures based on their respective duties, functions, and authorities in coordinated and integrated manners to accelerate supports for the organization of the 2020 PON and National Paralympic Games.<\/p>\n
In particular, the President instructs Minister of Home Affairs to: a. facilitates supporting policies to regional government in the implementation of 2020 PON and National Paralympic Games in Papua Province; and b. facilitate synchronization and harmonization between planning papers and regional budgeting papers for the organization of 2020 PON and National Paralympic Games in Papua Province.<\/p>\n
The Head of State also instructs Minister of Finance to: a. allocate budget needed for the preparation and organization of the 2020 PON and National Paralympic Games in Papua Province in accordance with the ability of state finances and provisions of laws and regulations; and b. provide budgeting facilities and technical support to related ministries\/agencies\/regional governments\/institutions in the preparation and organization of the 2020 PON and National Paralympic Games in Papua Province in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations.<\/p>\n
In addition, President Jokowi instructs Minister of Public Works and Public Housing to: a. allocate budget and develop new sports infrastructure and facilities including aquatic center, hockey field, cricket field, and archery field in Jayapura Regency; develop inline skate rink and rowing stadium in Jayapura City; manage sports arena in Kampung Harapan and Doyo Baru in Jayapura Regency and develop new low-cost apartment block where athletes will stay during preparation until organization of the Games; and b. allocate budget and develop roads connecting Telaga Ria, Khalkote, and Dapur Papua in Jayapura Regency, as well as rehabilitate Merauke-Kuprik-Tanah Miring roads to support Moto Race in the organization of the 2020 PON and National Paralympic Games in Papua Province.<\/p>\n
Under this Presidential Instruction, President Jokowi orders Minister of Agriculture to support and guarantee food supply at the organization of the 2020 PON and National Paralympic Games in Papua Province.<\/p>\n
In addition, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy\/ Head of Tourism and Creative Economy Agency is instructed to facilitate and supervise procurement of professionals for the opening\/closing ceremony, and during the organization of the 2020 PON and National Paralympic Games in Papua Province.<\/p>\n
The President orders Commander of the Indonesian National Defense Forces (TNI) to: a. ensure the security of President\/Vice President and their families from the opening until the closing of the 2020 PON and National Paralympic Games in Papua Province; b. assist the Indonesian National Police in providing security during the organization of the 2020 PON and National Paralympic Games in Papua Province; c. deploy personnel, facilities, and infrastructures on land, water, and air areas, as well as mobilize equipment needed for the organization of the 2020 PON and National Paralympic Games in Papua Province.<\/p>\n
President Jokowi instructs e Chief of the Indonesian National Police to secure the organization of the 2020 PON and National Paralympic Games in Papua Province. He also instructs Governor of Papua Province to develop new sports facilities and infrastructures and\/or rehabilitate the existing one in regencies\/cities in Papua Province including aquatic center, hockey field, cricket field, and archery field in Jayapura Regency, and inline skate rink and rowing stadium in Jayapura City; to manage sports arena in Kampung Harapan and Doyo Baru in Jayapura Regency and develop new low-cost apartment block where athletes will stay during preparation until organization of the 2020 PON and National Paralympic Games in Papua Province.<\/p>\n
Under this Presidential Instruction, President Jokowi orders Regent of Jayapura, Regent of Mimika, Regent of Merauke, and Mayor of Jayapura City to: a. plan, prepare, draw up, and allocate budget needed for the preparation and organization of the 2020 PON and National Paralympic Games in Papua Province together with the Government of Papua Province in accordance with the stipulated Masterplan; b. provide land for the development of new sports facilities and infrastructures of the 2020 PON and National Paralympic Games in Papua Province; and c. disseminate preparation of the 2020 PON and National Paralympic Games in Papua Province to the general public in their jurisdictions.<\/p>\n
