The Indonesian Government decided to accelerate the issuance of pre-employment card in the provinces of Bali, North Sulawesi, and Riau Islands.<\/p>\n

“In the meantime, the Presidential Regulation is being drafted and then we will establish the PMO (Project Management Office),” Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said on a press conference after a limited meeting on the impact of Covid-19 virus on Indonesian economy at the Presidential Office, Jakarta, Tuesday (25\/2).<\/p>\n

Furthermore, according to Airlangga, Ministry of Finance will prepare a mechanism so that the issuance can be realized in March. He also stated that by having the card, the beneficiaries can obtain online training using an application as well as offline training.<\/p>\n

“There will be also training provided by both private sectors and the Government, such as Ministry of Manpower,” he said.<\/p>\n

The Government, Airlangga stated, targets 2 million beneficiaries of pre-employment card with 500 thousand of them receiving training from Ministry of Manpower.<\/p>\n

The Government, he added, also plans to increase the additional benefits for the Beneficiary Families (KPM) by Rp50,000, making a total of Rp200,000 per KPM.<\/p>\n

“This will be implemented for six months, starting in March and will cost Rp4.56 trillion,” Airlangga said.<\/p>\n

On the stimulus in the housing sector, he stated, a budget requirement of Rp1,5 trillion is added. The Government divides the budget as follows: Rp800 billion in the form of interest subsidies and Rp700 billion in the form of down payment subsidies.<\/p>\n

“From the total distribution of 330 thousand units of mortgage loans (KPR), the existing Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP) reaches 88,000 units while the Savings Based Housing Financing Assistance (BP2BT) reaches 67,000 units, so there is an additional 175,000 units and this is carried out by commercial banks and Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing,” Airlangga added.
