The concept of the new capital development as a smart-metropolis has been noticed by the world and friendly countries that have expressed their interest in partnerships, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has said.<\/p>\n

“A number of friendly countries have expressed their interest in partnerships, including South Korea that has experience in establishing a smart and green new capital,” President Jokowi said in his remarks at a Limited Cabinet Meeting on the New Capital Relocation, Wednesday (26\/2), at the Presidential Office, Jakarta.<\/p>\n

President Jokowi went on to say that other countries’ interests is a good signal for our country. For that reason, the Government will draft the cooperation process details and carry out the acceleration process.<\/p>\n

On that occasion, the President also said that the Government will present the new capital’s pre-masterplan and the Strategic Environmental Assessment (KLHS) results, including the determination of the Central Government Core Area (KIPP).<\/p>\n

“The Government will also start basic infrastructure development programs for 2020,” the President said.<\/p>\n

On the new capital construction financing, President Jokowi requested the mapping of several projects financed by the State Budget or private sector through the government-to-business cooperation (KPBU) scheme, as well as the ones financed by direct investment.<\/p>\n

“Therefore, we can provide a clear explanation for relevant private sectors and various countries who are involved in the partnerships,” the President concluded.<\/p>\n

Also present during the Limited Cabinet Meeting were, among others, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut B Panjaitan, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Mahfud MD, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of National Development Planning (PPN) \/ Head of the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) Suharso Monoarfa, Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziah, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani, Minister of Trade Agus Suparmanto, Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi, Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning (ATR) \/ Head of the National Land Agency (BPN) Sofyan Djalil.<\/p>\n

There were also Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Wishnutama, Minister of Law and Human Rights Yasonna H Laoly, Minister of Education and Culture Nadiem Makarim, Minister of Communication and Informatics Jhonny G. Plate, Minister of State-owned-Enterprises Erick Thohir, Minister of Research and Technology \/ Head of the National Research Agency (BRIN) Bambang Brodjonegoro, the Indonesian National Defense Forces (TNI) Commander Air Chief Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, the Indonesian National Police Chief Idham Aziz, Head of the Government Comptroller Agency (BPKP) Yusuf Ateh, and a number of echelon I officials in the Presidential institution.
