Secretary of the Directorate General of Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health Achmad Yurianto as the Spokesperson for the handling of coronavirus in Indonesia, confirmed that another eight coronavirus (Covid-19) suspected patients have tested positive for the disease as of Tuesday (10\/3), bringing the total number of the cases to 27.<\/p>\n

The first person to be referred as Case 20 is a 70-year-old woman who is part of the Jakarta sub cluster. Case 21 who is a 47-year-old woman is also a part of Jakarta sub cluster.<\/p>\n

Cases 22, 23, and 24 are imported cases, meaning that the patients likely contracted the virus outside of Indonesia. Case 22 is a 36-year-old woman; Case 23 is a 73-year-old woman who is currently being put on a ventilator, yet her condition is quite stable; and Case 24 is a 46-year-old man.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey are all Indonesian citizens.\u201d Yurianto said referring to Cases 20 to 24.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, there are two foreign nationals patients among the other imported cases. They included Case 25, a 53-year-old woman; and Case 26, a 46-year-old man. Both patients are stable.<\/p>\n

Case 27 is a 33-year-old Indonesian citizen who is likely contracted the virus from a local transmission.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are currently tracking the source of transmission because this is not an imported case and it\u2019s still unknown which cluster he is part of. We have not found the source thus far,\u201d Yurianto concluded. (UN\/EN<\/strong>)<\/p>\n
