(Photo by: Ibrahim\/PR).<\/p><\/div>\n<p>President Joko \u201cJokowi\u201d Widodo on Tuesday (14\/4) issued directives on the handling of COVID-19 during a Plenary Cabinet Meeting through a Video Conference.<\/p>\n<p>The President\u2019s directives are as follows:<\/p>\n<p><em>First,<\/em> implementation of massive sample tests must be expanded with aggressive tracking procedures and followed by strict isolation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have ordered Chairperson of the COVID-19 Task Force, Minister of Health, the Indonesian National Police (Polri), and the Indonesian National Defense Forces (TNI) to monitor the implementation of massive sample tests and isolation,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p><em>Second<\/em>, adequate medical facilities and infrastructure, including the use of technology such as body sensors, big data, Immigration on Board, and AI (Artificial Intelligence) must be provided.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have collaborated with technology companies through telemedicine services so people do not need to see a doctor or to go to the hospital. They can consult their health through telemedicine,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p><em>Third<\/em>, effective communication to the media must be disseminated in a transparent and detailed manner.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDon&#8217;t let the information circulated replete with negative vibes,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p><em>Fourth<\/em>, law enforcement with the support of state apparatus must be upheld.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is important so we really have a strong discipline to deal with this issue,\u201d the President said.<\/p>\n<p><em>Fifth<\/em>, logistics flow should not be disrupted, both from the Central Government to the regions and from logistics warehouses to the regions.<\/p>\n<p><em>Sixth<\/em>, economic stimulus issued must meet the target.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThose policies are aimed at preventing the spread of COVID-19,\u201d he said.
