(Photo by: Agung\/ PR).<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Strategic agenda that is crucial for the nation and the state as well as for national interests must become a priority and continue to run amid the COVID-19 pandemic, according to President Joko \u201cJokowi\u201d Widodo.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cStrategic agenda does not only cover economic sector, but also other fundamental sectors that are essential for the lives of the people, namely those related to education, improvement in the quality of human resources, and also health sector,\u201d the President said in a limited meeting on Evaluation of the National Strategic Projects (PSN) through\u00a0 a video conference, Friday (29\/5).<\/p>\n<p>The Head of State cited an example in the health sector in which measures to tackle stunting, tuberculosis, malaria, dengue fever, HIV-AIDS elimination, as well as campaign of a healthy living become a top priority.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe must focus on handling and controlling the COVID-19 outbreak without putting aside strategic agenda that brings a significant impact on the people\u2019s lives,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding the ongoing National Strategic Projects, the President also called for measures to speed up implementation of the projects which have a direct impact on the strengthening of the people\u2019s economy and national economic recovery.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve noted a number of projects which are essential for equality and the strengthening of the people\u2019s economy,\u201d the President said, adding that land certification program for the people, certification of transmigration land, agrarian reform, social forestry, and rejuvenation of community plantations are among issues to be prioritized.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI also want to ensure that those priority programs still continue to run by following strict health protocols,\u201d he said, while calling for immediate resolution of obstacles and issues in the PSN implementation on the ground.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve received a report that land acquisition still becomes the issue,\u201d the President added, while ordering that 245 proposed new projects to be thoroughly calculated and prioritizing additional projects that have a large leverage on economic recovery after the pandemic ends. <strong>(FID\/EN)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Translator: Muhardi<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Reviewed by: M.
