The Government through Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing has completed the construction of Depok \u2013 Antasari (Desari) Toll Road Section II that connects Brigif and Sawangan and has started operation since Friday (3\/7).<\/p>\n

The infrastructure development is aimed at increasing connectivity of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Area covering Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi.<\/p>\n

Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono said that Desari Toll Road will be expanded by 6.5 kilometers to Salabenda, Bogor Regency and will be connected to Bogor Outer Ring Road (BORR).<\/p>\n

The completion of Desari Toll Road is expected to reduce traffic load on Jagorawi Toll Toad and to cut travel time from Southern Jakarta to Bogor.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Toll Road runs parallel with Jagorawi Toll Road, and when the two roads are connected, it can bear one third of Jagorawi Toll Road\u2019s traffic load, particularly vehicles from Kebayoran and Pasar Minggu heading to Bogor,\u201d the Minister said.<\/p>\n

The inauguration ceremony of Desari Toll Road Section II was led by Head of the Indonesia Toll Road Authority Danang Parikesit. During the first two weeks, the public could use the road free of charge.<\/p>\n

For the record, Desari Toll Road Section II with a total length of 6.3 kilometers has four toll gates, Krukut 1 Gate (exit gate), Krukut 4 Gate (entry gate), Sawangan 1 Gate (exit gate), and Sawangan 4 Gate (entry gate). The Toll Road ends at Sawangan National Road, West Java Province.<\/p>\n

Desari Toll Road Section II is part of Desari Toll Road Section I that connects Antasari and Brigif that was officially opened by President Joko \u201cJokowi\u201d Widodo on 27 September 2018. Desari Toll Road has a total length of 21.60 kilometers and consisted of three sections; Section I that connects Antasari and Brigif spanning 5.80 kilometers, Section I that connects Brigif and Sawangan spanning 6.30 kilometers, and Section III that connects Sawangan and Bojong Gede spanning 9.50 kilometers which is scheduled to start operating in January 2021.<\/p>\n

Desari Toll Road is expected to meet the public demand on a fast and comfortable regional transportation system in Greater Jakarta Area. The Toll Road which also connects the Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR) and Jakarta Outer Ring Road 2 will ease traffic congestion on roads that connect Jakarta with satellite cities such as Depok and Bogor.<\/p>\n

Construction work of the Toll Road was carried out by toll road operator PT Citra Waspphutowa under an agreement that was signed on 29 May 2006 and lastly amended on 7 June 2011. Concession period of Desari Toll Road is 40 years as of the date of issuance of Construction Order. (Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing)<\/strong><\/p>\n
