Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung on Tuesday (14\/7) at the office of Cabinet Secretariat in Jakarta, launched a web and an app dedicated for Indonesian Government translators and interpreters (known as \u201cFunctional Official of Translators\/Interpreters\u201d or PFP).<\/p>\n

\u201cAlhamdulillah,<\/em> Congratulations on the launching of JFP (functional translator position) web and app. We are proud to announce that amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, Cabinet Secretariat continues to innovate and contribute for the nation and the state,\u201d Pramono said.<\/p>\n

Cabinet Secretary also pointed out that the nation will face increasingly complex challenges in the future and competition among nations and individuals will be fierce.<\/p>\n

\u201cTranslators play a very important role in many sectors in the future. Likewise, translators must continue to be responsive to the times and not to be trapped in a comfort zone nor feel bored. They must also continue to learn and provide the best for the nation and the state,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Cabinet Secretary also expressed hope that the web and the app will further boost productivity and quality of those translators and interpreters.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Deputy to Cabinet Secretary for Cabinet Work Support Thanon Aria Dewangga reported that the launching of the web and the app is an initiative from Cabinet Secretariat and is fully supported by Ministry of Communications and Informatics\u2019 Telecommunications and Information Accessibility Agency (BAKTI).<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are 203 Functional Official of Translators\/Interpreters (PFP) nationwide listed on the app. We need to speed up measures to support the development of government translators and interpreters in our country,\u201d he said, adding that information on those translators and interpreters was previously manually provided and\u00a0 digitalization is needed to make administrative process runs faster.<\/p>\n

\u201cThrough the app and the web, government translators and interpreters can now easily obtain data and documents so they no longer need to send documents in a hard copy. A glossary is also available on the app,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
