(Photo by: Public Relations\/Jay).<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Every rupiah and the public&#8217;s money in the state budget must be used in an accountable, transparent, and prudent manner, also make the most of it for the sake of the people&#8217;s interest, President Joko &#8220;Jokowi&#8221; Widodo has said.<\/p>\n<p>The President made the statement in his remarks at the submission of the audit report (LHP) on the 2019 Central Government Financial Report (LKPP), at the State Palace, Jakarta, Monday (20\/7).<\/p>\n<p>The President went on to say that the Government&#8217;s spending should consider good governance, well-managed, well-targeted, and carried out with simple and concise procedures through a quick process with maximum benefits for the people.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The speed is very important. Particularly, the speed in the era of health crisis and the current economic crisis. It will be useless to have a budget, yet the budget cannot be quickly spent for the people eventhough they are waiting and in dire need,&#8221; the President said.<\/p>\n<p>On that occasion, the Head of State emphasized the importance of quick, precise, efficient, and accountable measures. He also said that the measures become important since the Government should take many extraordinary steps in this year&#8217;s health and economic crisis. &#8220;Extraordinary steps should be taken for the sake of the nation and the state,&#8221; the President added.<\/p>\n<p>The Government, President Jokowi continued, has allocated Rp695.2 trillion to speed up the COVID-19 handling for the national economic recovery. &#8220;For that reason, I urge all ministries and institutions to run the program quickly, precisely, and accountable,&#8221; the President said.<\/p>\n<p>Thus, the President expected support from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) so that the handling of the crisis will run well without any problems in the future, adding that he has ordered the Government Internal Supervisory Agency (APIP), the Development Finance Comptroller (BPKP), and the National Public Procurement Agency (LKPP) to take part in the acceleration solution.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;For the law enforcement apparatus, including the Attorney General&#8217;s Office, the Police, and also the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), I order that the prevention aspect must be put forward, do strengthen good governance, which is transparent and accountable,&#8221; the President concluded. <strong>(FID \/ EN)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Translated by: Syarifah Aisyah<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Reviewed by: Yuyu Mulyani<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Every rupiah and the public&#8217;s money in the state budget must be used in an accountable, transparent, and prudent manner, also make the most of it for the sake of the people&#8217;s interest, President Joko &#8220;Jokowi&#8221; Widodo has said.
