President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo delivered his directives to Cabinet Ministers to accelerate the absorption of health sector and the disbursement of financial incentives for medical workers, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto has said.<\/p>\n

The Minister made the statement during a media briefing after attending Limited Cabinet Meeting, Monday (27\/7).<\/p>\n

“We will discuss the acceleration of Budget Implementation Lists (DIPA) in the health sector so that the budget can be absorbed,” the Minister said.<\/p>\n

Airlangga went on to say that the Government still owns a sufficient budget for salaries and operational costs.<\/p>\n

Regarding the budget acceleration on other sectors, especially the pre-employment card in the social protection program, Airlangga said that the Government will resume the program immediately.<\/p>\n

“Both the revision of Presidential Regulation (Perpres) and Coordinating Ministerial Regulation (Permenko) has been finalized. The fourth wave of Pre-employment Card program will begin offline and online with an accelerated budget,” Airlangga said.<\/p>\n

According to him, the Government has also extended the electricity subsidy for low-income families for six months, adding that there will be an additional budget of Rp3 trillion for electricity subsidy for customers in the social, corporate, and manufacturing sectors to pay their minimum bills.<\/p>\n

“In terms of sectoral, the Government has discussed it with relevant ministries to add and accelerate labor-intensive programs,” he said.<\/p>\n

The Government’s target, Airlangga continued, that the budget allocated for COVID-19 in the second quarter or the first semester could be absorbed to the maximum extent possible. He added that the Government will also increase the budget for quick wins program, including labor-intensive program.<\/p>\n

On that occasion, Airlangga reminded that the people should remain alert until the vaccines discovered.<\/p>\n

“The key is the discovery of vaccines or existing medicines, such as antibody drug,” Airlangga concluded. (FID\/EN)<\/strong><\/p>\n
